Concert Choir
Concert Choir is a year-long course focused on the rehearsal and performance of high-quality choral literature spanning from the Renaissance to the 21st century. Instruction includes the development of fundamental music theory skills as they relate to the study and performance of repertoire. Students prepare and perform music for a variety of events throughout the year, including the Fall Concert, Winter Concert, convention performances, large-group contest, Masterworks, and/or the Spring Concert.
Concert Choir members participate in a major tour on an every-other-year rotation. Enrollment in Concert Choir also requires participation in one of the six select vocal ensembles.
Cadet Choir
Girls Chorale
Cadet Choir is a year-long course designed to develop foundational musical skills and healthy vocal technique. Emphasis is placed on building strong choral habits, including tone production, ensemble awareness, and rehearsal discipline. Students will work toward confident four-part singing while developing independence as musicians.
A variety of musical styles and repertoire will be explored throughout the year. Students prepare and perform music for several events, including the Fall Concert, Winter Concert, Masterworks, and/or the Spring Concert, as well as additional performances at the discretion of the director.
Girls Chorale is a year-long course designed for freshman singers to develop foundational vocal and musical skills. Students study and perform two-, three-, and occasionally four-part choral literature while building strong choral habits, basic music literacy, and healthy vocal technique.
Students prepare and perform repertoire for several events throughout the year, including the Fall Concert, Winter Concert, Masterworks, and/or the Spring Concert.
